Race to Net Zero

Join the Town of Halton Hills and Your Green Homes for a free one-day event to learn about actions you can take to reduce carbon emissions! This event raises awareness of real climate solutions, provides and opportunities for residents to get involved, and showcases and local businesses. No registration necessary.

This event includes:

• Free Electric vehicle (EV) test drives by Plug’n’ Drive

• Electric vehicles on display by owners and businesses

• Presentations and booths by businesses on home solar, ground source heat pumps and other home energy efficiency products

• Presentations and booths on sustainable landscaping including managing water using rain gardens, gardening, identifying trees, and invasive pests and plants

• Promoting the use of alternative active transportation options such as e-bikes, bicycles, and transit   

• Used Bike Swap

• Family Storytime hosted by Halton Hills Public Library. Plant your own bean to take home, enjoy a special Storywalk®, and visit the Seed Library!

• Green Tours of the Halton Hills Public Library's Acton Branch
