Plant a Native Tree in Your Yard

Credit Valley Conservation is giving away free native trees to homeowners in Georgetown’s Hungry Hollow SNAP area. Please check your address their eligibility map. 

Planting trees on your property provides shade and privacy, adds beauty and colour, creates habitat for pollinators and birds and helps reduce the impacts of climate change. Plant more than one to add layers or create a grouping.

Available species include: Northern Red Oak, Smooth Serviceberry, Alternate-leaved Dogwood, Eastern Red Cedar, Freeman's Maple, Paper Birch, and Common Hackberry.
